July 5, 2020 | View In Browser What began as a local outbreak of an unknown disease in Wuhan, China, late last year has become a global upheaval of historic proportions—laying bare deep-rooted inequality and injustice, the precariousness of trade and globalization, and the weakness of institutions and political leadership. By now, that there will be no return to a pre-pandemic world is clear. What comes next is less so.
